Designed by Lyons Architects, the Melbourne Brain Centre Parkville (University of Melbourne) is the 5th largest in the world and opened in October 2011. A key design element is light – light encourages sharing and collaboration in science. The 5 star Green Star Building is fitted with over 1000 energy efficient LED handrail minipucks illuminating the internal central stairs and decorative uprights. Planet Lighting supplied and installed both handrail and LED lighting.
